- How It Works...
- Connected to the Easy Heat Roof De-icing Cable, the Roof Sentry automatically turns on the heating cable to prevent damage caused by build-up of snow and ice.
- The electronic sensor sits in the eavestrough where it detects freezing temperatures and moisture. Together, these conditions can cause ice build-up on shingles, in eavestroughs and downspouts, resulting in costly roof and interior wall or ceiling repairs.
- Once plugged in, the Roof Sentry automatically switches the heating cable "on" (38 F) or "off" (48 /F) as required. Operating costs are minimal and it helps save energy dollars.
